A Clinical Observation on Glucose Metabolism and Diabetes Mellitus in Aged

Abstract
Diabetes mellitus is a metabolic disorder caused by an absolute or a comperative insufficiency of insulin ` action and it is also can be defined as a symptoms complex dreived from various etious etiogical factors of many different diseases.
As" the clinical researches on diabetes mellitus have been developed, the glucose tolerance test has been broadly applied to the synthesis of glucose fuction,
As a result various papers- were reported in this area as to the incidence of abnormal synthesis of glucose function shows by different age groups.
Having been interested in this area the author -have applied glucose tolerance test to the 27 considerably healthy non-diabetic subjects(17 males, 10 females) aged between 25 to 72 and have obtained the following results.
1. The variations; of glucose tolerance titers by age difference were observed.
2. In the aged group it is observed `maximum blood sugar level showed delayed, titers in returning to the normal as compared to that of the rise in blood sugar.
3. As the ages increases the frequent abnormal diabetic curves in glucose tolerance test were observed among the considerably healthy non-diabetic controls.
4. A normal aged subject showed the absoltute diabetic curve in glucose tolerance test in the study.
